UK Sales Director
Stephen Hand
Steve has over 20 years’ experience in financial services and spent 13 years working in Lloyds Banking Group within commercial finance for SMEs. He has held a variety of leadership positions within Lloyds, most recently as National Head of Invoice and Asset Finance Sales. Steve joined BFS in 2022, and leads our passionate and experienced sales team of Invoice Finance specialists across the whole of the UK.
National Business Manager
Stuart Lee
Stuart has worked in Invoice Finance within BFS for more than 8 years, specialising in commercial finance as a Business Development Manager for 6 years before moving into his current role as National Business Manager. Stuart oversees the BFS sales team across the UK to drive new business success.
UK Head of Broker and Introducer
David Webb
David has over 35 years’ experience in financial services, having worked in Retail Banking at Barclays Bank and Asset Finance at First National Bank prior to joining BFS. David has held multiple sales roles during his time at BFS, leading teams of Business Development Managers across various regions. He now focuses on developing our support for the intermediary community, improving how we engage with them and their clients.

Steve Nixon
Steve has worked in Asset Based Lending and Invoice Financing for over 25 years, holding a variety of positions including many years as Southern Sales Director for one of the industry’s leading asset based lenders. Steve and his team offer financial solutions for our more complex clients.
Head of Sales – East Midlands
Kelly Hamill
Kelly has worked in UK Banking and Commercial Finance for 30 years, with over half of this spent in Invoice Finance and Asset Finance. He has been working within BFS for the last 10 years, dealing with all aspects of Asset Based Lending. Kelly and his experienced team support a range of transactions, including working capital and cashflow, import and export, MBIs and MBOs and funding of contractual debt.
Head of Sales – North
Melanie Ince
Mel has over 30 years’ experience in the invoice finance industry. She spent 20 years at Lloyds Commercial Finance prior to making the move to BFS, where she worked in operations before she joined the sales team 7 years ago.
Head of Sales – London
Calogero Mingoia
Calogero has worked across invoice finance and commercial finance for more than 16 years, with a specific focus on the construction sector. Prior to joining BFS, he worked at Lloyds Banking Group gaining experience across multiple roles, most recently as Head of Sales for London and East regions. Calogero is also is CIMA qualified to a Strategic Level.
Head of Sales – South East
Mark Turner
Mark has over 20 years’ experience in Invoice Finance, Banking and Commercial finance. He has been at BFS for almost 10 years, working across both sales and operational roles allowing him to gain experience in client management and business development. Mark now leads the sales team in the South East, supporting SMEs in the region.

Asset Finance
Allows your client to release cash from existing assets or remove the need for significant upfront investment. We offer Leasing, Hire Purchase and Refinancing solutions.
Cashflow Advance
Releases additional funding which, combined with the client’s core Invoice Finance facility, provides up to 100% of their approved sales ledger.
Cashflow Loan
Provides additional funding of up to 20% of your client’s Invoice Finance facility, ranging from £250k to £1m, to support acquisitions, debt refinancing, and growth opportunities.

We offer spot conversions for immediate needs or forward contracts to minimise the risk of future currency fluctuations.
Export Finance
Helps exporters better manage overseas relationships, bridging the gap between raising an invoice and getting paid. Our specialist team provide language, currency, time zone and legal support.
Trade Finance
Trade finance can provide the funds your clients need to purchase stock and fulfil orders. We work with a number of trade specialists who provide this product, with any associated commissions for introductions you have given us payable by them. Suitable for limited companies.

Construction Finance
We advance cash against applications for payment and invoices. This allows your client to meet payment obligations through the various stages of a contract.
Contractual Debt Finance
Supports clients that work on a contractual basis. It advances funds against part payments within a contract.
Recruitment Finance
Gives your recruitment agency clients more immediate access to cash tied up in unpaid invoices, alongside credit control and payroll support.
Bad Debt Protection
Used alongside Invoice Financing to give your client peace of mind by protecting their business against the impact of a customer’s insolvency or inability to pay.

We supported The Black Farmer in their growth ambitions, providing a combined solution that ensures the business has the necessary working capital and international trading efficiency to expand and scale operations. We provided a £141,350 Hire Purchase facility to a longstanding logistics company based in North Wales, which has been trading for 19 years. This facility supported the acquisition of 40 new refrigerated trailers, enabling them to expand their fleet after maxing out credit with a previous funder.

With our support, our client who is a long-established recruitment company, successfully restructured into a ‘newco.’ Our £1.5M Confidential Invoice Discounting facility played a crucial role in saving the business from liquidation. This complex deal involved refinancing the existing business from its bank funder.

We supported a major housebuilder and construction business in North East England with an additional £1.5M Asset Finance facility, complementing their existing £6M Invoice Finance line.
